At Southway Junior School, excellent attendance is everyone’s responsibility. We believe all pupils from Year 3 to Year 6 are able to achieve their full potential if they attend school regularly and on time.
Every day in school matters. Each lesson builds on the last, and children who attend consistently are more likely to thrive – socially, emotionally and academically.
We work together with pupils and families to ensure that every child gets the best from their education. We aim to act at the earliest point to ensure that when attendance dips we listen, support, understand and set targets, to get children back to school.
