Religious Education (R.E.)

RATIONALE

Our religious education curriculum offers pupils an opportunity to develop a deep understanding of a range of beliefs, religions and worldwide views. It creates open-minded individuals that are able to critically think, challenge and offer an opinion surrounding a topic. By opening up their understanding of a range of beliefs and communities, it allows children to understand the diversity in our world and build tolerant, respectful and responsible values towards others. This is delivered through the scheme ‘Kapow’ which builds on prior knowledge. It is carefully planned to integrate different religions alongside morals and values that allow for breadth and depth of knowledge.
