Absences must be reported to the school either by email (welfare@southwayjunior.co.uk), phone (01444 233824, option 1) or via MCAS by 9.00am, giving a reason for your child’s absence.
You must contact the school on a daily basis until your child returns to school. This is a safeguarding requirement so that all parties know that your child is safe and their whereabouts are known.
Absences for medical appointments should be made outside of school hours where possible. If you do need to take your child for an appointment, please complete one of our forms. In the case of unavoidable appointments, please bring your child to school for morning register and pick them up closer to the time of the appointment or collect them after 1.15pm.
