One of our current major projects to support the school in extending the outdoor learning environment is to develop the Sensory Garden. This will complement the bird hide, boardwalk area and story-telling garden the HSA have already funded for the children.
With thanks to Burgess Hill Town Council, who have donated £2,500 - Spring 2016, we have been able to commence the sensory garden project with the building of the central outdoor classroom. We need a further £10,500 to complete the whole garden.
As a committee we have decided to donate 50% of the profit from each fundraising event to this project. In the winter term we set aside £1,300 from our events for this purpose.
We were also delighted to learn on 22nd February 2016 that Persimmon Homes were willing to donate £1,000 from their community grant fund. This will help towards commencing stage 2 of the project - the paved pathways.
If there are any local businesses that would like to support our project please get in touch, we would very much value your support to expedite our sensory garden vision.
